This is the view out the kids bed rooms to our two acres. Lots of deer come this way. We have a couple of apple trees they feed on.
As you can see the gables do not fully translate in the rear. The first issue is the fact that there are windows that are in the way of the major gable. The second is that there is no garage to form a minor gable.

The door opening you see the ladder leading to is going to be a window in the laundry room when the project is completed. In the meantime, this is going to serve as the entrance to the second floor to get materials and people in and out. This avoids any intrusion into the living area to get to the work area.
