This is the current state of things: Addition framed, rough plumbed, roofed. Next week they will "break through" into the existing second floor and begin to gut it and extend the rear of the house two feet beyond the 1st floor's rear wall.
These are houses next store and up the street. As you can see, we are now closer to there square footage and garage size (okay, my garage may be slightly bigger). My point in showing you this is that we thought it was appropriate to do these modifications on this house based on the purchase price and what the potential value of the houses in this neighborhood. Typically housing values in the Rochester area over the last 20-30 years are slow to move up or down. They tend to follow inflation. With that in mind, we do not expect to see a drop in the value of the houses around us.
